This Mendelssohn CD consisting entirely of first recordings, appeared in 1999. In addition to the composer's duet versions of well-known compositions ("Songs without Words", "Children's Pieces"), the program included rarities like "Duo Concertant" which Mendelssohn composed on a theme of Weber together with his former teacher and later friend Ignaz Moscheles.

Mendelssohn-CD
"This is a pleasant disc. (...) Listen to them rattle gracefully through this innocent but thoroughly enjoyable stuff. (...) Here they give sparkling performances of Mendelssohn and Mendelssohn - Moscheles. (...) Hey, there's even the celebrated Spring Song, seductively played by this talented duo."
(Harold C. Schonberg - American Record Guide, March 2000)
